Speaking three languages, living in five countries, and organizing a successful annual fundraiser, Carolina Mejia Rodriguez published her first book as a thirteen-year-old.
Her biggest passion lies in advocacy and education, and the purpose behind her endeavors is to create consciousness on issues that matter.
Carolina has been able to raise money from around the world for a group of children in need in Colombia called Las Estrellas del Rawad for three years in a row.
The funds collected from both the fundraiser and the royalties of The Upside of Being Down go towards purchasing school supplies so that the youth can continue their academic journeys despite economic hardships.
Carolina has been featured twice on the daytime Emmy-award-winning show Despierta America, creating consciousness about Anorexia Nervosa in teenagers.
